Via Ferrata del Cabirol

Via Ferrata del Cabirol

Via Ferrata del Cabirol, Capo Caccia, Alghero, Sardegna

June 2019 Update

The Via Ferrata del Cabirol was vandalised and is actually closed until the cables will be replaced. Please stay tuned and DO NOT ATTEMPT until further notice.

The Via Ferrata del Cabirol is considered by many the best and most accessible Via Ferrata in Sardinia. It is located on the sea cliffs of Capo Caccia, which are only 10 km north of Alghero, and only 10 minutes away from a large parking space.

The Via Ferrata del Cabirol follows a natural series of horizontal ledges that hang about 100 metres above the blue sea. The panorama is truly breath-taking and anyone, from kids to elderly people, can enjoy it. It does not require previous experience as our guides take care of teaching all safety procedures beforehand. Some physical strength is necessary but any kid can do it.

During the summer it is possible to do the Via Ferrata during the morning, as it is on shade until lunch time. To complete the entire route it takes about 3 hours and the approach from the parking space is as short as it could be: less than 500 metres 🙂
