Via Ferrata della Regina

via ferrata della regina

The Via Ferrata della Regina is located below the medieval hamlet Monte Leone Roccadoria, suspended halfway between the blue sky and the lake below. The Via Ferrata overlooks a large lake and the surrounding hills. Peace is the word, for not even the scarce tourism can disturb the quietness of these lands.

It only takes 15 minutes on a very panoramic path to reach the Via Ferrata from town and, even if not the longest Via Ferrata in the world, the view definitely pays back. As it faces north it lays on shade all day and thus it is feasible even during the summer.

As it starts with a vertical (overhanging, actually) ladder, you should be able to climb up its rungs and fear no vertigo. The protections are well placed and even if risk is minimised by short cable sections you'd better be confident with your steps.

This is a fantastic Via Ferrata for beginners and families too as approach is short and difficulties are very moderate. Kids will be supervised by our guides but should always be accompanied by parents
