via ferrata della regina
The small hamlet of Monte Leone Roccadoria -with its long medieval history- sits on top of a tall crag, overlooking a lake and the surrounding hills. Peace is the word, for not even the scarce tourism can disturb the quietness of these lands.
The Via Ferrata della Regina is located on the north side of crag below Roccadoria, suspended halfway between the blue sky and the lake below. It only takes 15 minutes on a very panoramic path to reach the Via Ferrata from town and, even if not the longest Via Ferrata in the world, the view definitely pays back.
As it starts with a vertical (or overhanging?) ladder, you should be able to climb up its rungs and fear no vertigo. The protections are well placed and even if risk is minimised by short cable sections you'd better be confident with your steps.
